Lego Ad!

This Lego ad, although has very little pictures, has a strong meaning to it. Being paid by Lego, I believe these ads are geared toward kids, since I do not believe many adults play Lego for fun. This ad shows an arrangement of 5 bricks and its shadow is a realistic dinosaur. This shows that with Lego bricks, you can make anything you like with your imagination. I think this ad is very effective, since its use of very little pictures gives an obvious meaning of how great Lego can be in building things- it says that with little Lego, you can make anything you like. It shows how excellent Lego can be to unleash your imagination with just a few blocks.  Lego is an innocent toy, and this ad clearly shows gets the meaning of Lego across.

In this ad hyperbole and bribery is used. Hyperbole is used when the Lego bricks have a shadow of a dinosaur, but obviously the bricks don't actually have the shadow of that. Bribery is sort of used when the Lego bricks are made to have a shadow of a dinosaur. This may say that if you buy Lego, you can do magnificent things with it. The obvious message of this ad is to buy Lego. The hidden message is that if you buy it, you can make virtually anything you like with only a little amount of bricks.

Nerds

I don't understand why nerds are such an insult and a big thing these days. When I say something factual or something basic:

And usually the guy isn't even that smart. Even in French, usually when I say something basic in French, like 17- then basically the same thing happens up in the cartoon up there.
Bill Gates, one of the most successful people in the world, said this
I not saying be nice to just nerds- be nice to everybody- regardless of what they are.

Why I Don't Like Going to the Beach

I'm kind of an outdoor person myself, but I really don't like going to the beach. It's only with well known friends that I'm convinced to go.

Number One: The Bathroom

The Bad: I need to go to the bathroom more times than usual for some reason.
The Worse: The bathroom feels like a million miles away from where we are on the beach, and after eating, walking all the way over there gives stomach cramps and also, the sand makes it a lot slower and harder to walk.
Number Two: The Sand
The Bad: When it's super hot, the sand burns your feet like putting your hand on an oven that's been burning on it's highest for 10 minutes.
The Worse: When your trying to get somewhere far, your feet will be scorched.

Number Three: The Water
The Bad: Getting in the water- it's like ice at first.
The Worse: Walking on the sand and wearing Crocs- Sand flows in and mixes with the water and soon it's like walking on needles.
